Abstract
Walking support has been developed to support the elderly needing aid in standing after getting out of bed, walking around, sitting down, and walking rehabilitation. A prototype was developed and tested by elderly users in hospitals and care facilities features (1) electrical power-assist in both standing and sitting and walking; (2) sensors for easier operation especially by the elderly. In addition, Power assist control based on force input is discussed.
