Abstract
This general presentation introduces topics such as the current status of automation and IT (Information Technology) application of the metal casting process and new technologies such as vibration control and power-assist technologies. In the 21st Century, automation and support technologies motivating people to work better will become increasingly necessary. Vibration control and power assist will be the two key words representing core technologies indispensable to automated casting of the 21st Century developed in research we initiated.
