Abstract
In this paper, we propose a simple 3-dimension image display using active perception. We developed it for applying to 3D CAD system. The 3D image display only consists of a computer, a display, a CCD camera and two blue markers. Based on the image data captured by the camera, the computer tracks the blue markers besides the human face and calculates the viewpoint of the operator. According to the viewpoint, the image on the display is changed. Using this system, the operator recognizes a 3D image by moving his/her viewpoint. We explain about the proposed 3D image display and confirm the effectiveness of the proposed system through experiments.
