Abstract
In this paper a method is proposed for shape control of large scale flexible structures, such as lenses in large telescopes, antennae and others. As large flexible structures are distorted due to gravitational force when inclined, some kind of shape control is needed to keep the prescribed shape. Some simulated results are shown for inclined angles of a beam using a continuous model. Also given are the results of applying the static repeating control algorithm to a flexible experimental model.
