Abstract

TRAFST (Transdisciplinary Federation of Science and Technology) was established on April 7th, 2003 as the federation consisting of 43 academic societies which extend over arts and sciences. Getting the acquisition of NPO status on October, 2005, TRAFST reached the 10th anniversary in 2003. In addition to the definition of the idea on Transdisciplinary Science and Technology and its popularization activity, including KOTO-TSUKURI Declaration, TRAFST issued a wide range of policy proposals and some influence to our society. On the occasion of 10th anniversary, the board of directors inquired of its planning and business committee a draft of mid-long term activity plan looking ahead 10 years of TRAFST. The planning and business committee started a working group consisting of four members in establishing the mid-long term vision. This article is the reorganized overview assembled by WG members accepting the request of the bulletin editorial committee in the intention to have all people including the academic membership societies in TRAFST share the contents which were reported on April, 2014 as “mid-long term vision 2014” at the general assembly meeting of TRAFST.
