Abstract

This document describes the discipline of the graduate school of System Design and Management, Keio University, established in 2008 for solving interdisciplinary problems. This discipline is based on systems engineering and design thinking. Students are not only engineers and natural scientists but also social scientists and sociologists. Age and nationality of students are widely distributed. The most important thing is that research and education are practical considering not only SEEDS of research but also NEEDS of society.
