In this paper, the school of knowledge science in JAIST (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) is introduced as a successful example of transdisciplinary education and human resources development. Knowledge science is an important transdisciplinary science and technology for creating new knowledge which can solve various problems in the 21th century and is effective for giving solutions and creating future innovations.
