Abstract

“The Japan Society for Computational Engineering and Science (JSCES)” was founded in 1995 by the first president T. Kawai and organizers of WCCM III (The Third World Congress on Computational Mechanics). JSCES has been affiliated to the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IACM) since 1995. The JSCES has currently over 900 members, all of which are automatically registered as international members of the IACM. The purpose of JSCES is to promote advances of education and technology in computational engineering by opening the meeting among the members of JSCES and the related organization. In addition, we contribute to international advancement of this field widely through the international activity.
