Tokushima University has been holding the “Tokushima Robot Programming Club,” a robotics class for elementary school students, since 2006. This paper describes the outline of this robotics class. Starting in 2020, robotics classes have been conducted in both online and hybrid formats. Beginning in 2023, the same curriculum was offered in a face-to-face format. This paper introduces the implementation method for the online robotics class. The results of participant questionnaires are used to compare the online and face-to-face formats and discuss the characteristics of each class. We found that the online format is almost the same as the face-to-face format when the lecture staff is familiar with the robot kits and we can have the cooperation of the university student assistants and parents of the participant.
