Development of a Tactile Board for Image Input

Abstract
A new visual aid apparatus which provides vibratory sensation to the skin has been developed. The apparatus has 64 vertically moving actuators arrayed 8x8 and is connected to a computer. Data of the image or the character displayed by the apparatus are input by the scanner to the computer.
